DECATUR, Ala. (WAFF) - You don’t have to wait until next year to enjoy this summer fun.
Point Mallard Water Park in Decatur opens on May 25. We checked on their preparations.
What we got was an enthusiastic promise that the park is better than ever this year, after sitting dormant all winter.
“It needs revitalization. You have to have new everything, new paint, new flowers, a new approach, new attitudes, new everything to bring in a new crowd and meet expectations. You can expect the best service, the friendliest staff, and you can expect beauty that only Decatur and the Tennessee River can provide,,” said Mark Hopper, Point Mallard Water Park Marketing.
Entrance fees for Point Mallard are $20 dollars for ages 12 - 61 and $15 for kids ages 5 - 11 and for seniors and service members.
Point Mallard will have half-price days and nights on Mondays and Wednesdays 10 a.m.-6 p.m., and Tuesdays and Thursdays 10 a.m.-8 p.m. Half-price admission is not valid on holidays.
