ATHENS, Ala. (WAFF) - The Athens State University board of trustees has appointed Philip Way to be the university’s next president.
Way was approved by a board vote Friday afternoon.
He will be the university’s 37th president. He replaces Robert Glenn, who accepted a position at the University of Houston-Victoria last year.
Way currently serves as provost and vice president for academic and student affairs at Slippery Rock University in Slippery Rock, Pennsylvania.
