(WAFF) - It will remain warm and muggy overnight with lows in the lower to middle 62.
Friday will be hot and muggy with highs near 90. Isolated, pop-up storms are expected with the heating of the day. We will have another hot day Saturday with no significant chance of rain.
Sunday into Monday we could see a few strong thunderstorms fire up along a boundary that will slowly move across the Tennessee Valley. Temperatures will be in the upper 80s but it will feel close to 90 with the increased humidity. Lightning and gusty winds will be the primary threat Sunday and Monday.
The heat builds across the area late next week with several back to back days near 90.
