Scattered storms possible today, warmer weather moving in

Happy Wednesday! Keep your umbrella handy today, you may not need it all day, but there is a chance at storms off and on across the Valley today.

It is another comfortable start to the day today with aa few spots into the upper 40s and others into the low 50s across the Valley. Skies are mostly clear to start but clouds are expected to increase through the morning with isolated and scattered storms possible around lunch today. These storms will be moving in from the northwest. There is a minimal severe threat with these storms but there could be some strong gusts as well as frequent cloud to ground lightning. Not everyone will see storms today, but those that do can expect a ¼ to ½ an inch of rain. Isolated storm chances with be with us off and on throughout the day and into the overnight tonight, but do not expect anything to be widespread. Temperatures this afternoon will be dependent on rain and clouds, but most of us will likely reach the mid to upper 70s.

Isolated storms are possible again on Thursday, but there will be more heat and humidity. Thursday will be quite muggy with temperatures into the low to mid 80s, wit a mix of sun and clouds. From here on our temperatures will start to skyrocket, reaching the 90s by the weekend with drier weather for Saturday.
