BIRMINGHAM, AL (WBRC) - Living for 100 years is nothing to shrug off, so when Fannie Mae Braxton celebrated her 100th birthday on May 8, 2019, the party was on not just for her, but her entire family.
“It’s nothing special to live 100 years,” said Fannie Mae Braxton. “I’m not sure what I done to deserve to live so long. I tried to do right and treat people right and love my family as the best I can.”
Fannie Mae was born in Demopolis in 1919 and has lived in Birmingham for almost 70 years. She is the mother of 14 children and she lives with her 98 year old sister.
