HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) - Several big names have found themselves on the wrong side of the Kitchen Cops in Madison County this week.

The lowest score belongs to the Texas Roadhouse at Highway 72 & Jeff Road. It scores a 72 due to dirty plates, a dirty ice machine, unlabeled chemicals and several foods at the wrong temperature.

The Sunny Street Cafe in Madison gets a 78 because of food at the wrong temperature and flies in the kitchen. When inspectors asked to speak to someone in charge, no one stepped forward.

Phil Sandoval’s on University Drive is also on the low performer’s list this week with an 80. It was also written up for flies in the kitchen and food temperature issues.

Another restaurant at Bridge Street is having issues. This time, it’s Texas de Brazil, getting an 84. Kitchen Cops found black and pink substances on the ice machine and no sanitizer in the entire restaurant.

In northwest Alabama, the New China in Killen scores an 84 after inspectors found toddler “running around” in the kitchen.

The Walton’s in Rogersville is given an 88 due to missing food expiration dates on some items and the Cloverdale QuikMart in Florence gets an 81 due to paperwork issues and unlabeled chemicals stored in the wrong places.
