Small business incubator opens up shop in Tuscumbia

TUSCUMBIA, AL (WAFF) -A small business incubator has opened up shop in Tuscumbia. It is a concept which is getting off the ground in northwest Alabama.

Emily Stutts lives in Florence but when she heard The Shoppe’s at Coldwater incubator opened in Tuscumbia, she couldn’t resist checking it out.

So far, she’s purchased items like baby clothes, jewelry, and socks for her husband at the small businesses. Stutts says she knows from personal experience starting a new business is hard work.

“This is a one stop shop for me plus its locally owned and I love to support locally owned businesses is and I love to support business that give back to the shoals,” said Stutts.

The owner of The Shoppe’s at Coldwater Ashley Morrow is partnered with Click Synergy. Business owners pay Click Synergy $250 a month for coaching and space at Coldwater.

Right now, Click Synergy is helping five small businesses get off the ground. Owners are learning marketing strategies, and coaching them to eventually help them get larger spaces elsewhere.

Morrow says businesses owners can stay at Shoppes at Coldwater as long as they need to grow and become successful.
