HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) - With 62 inspections in the Madison County area, inspectors had plenty of problems to write up this week.
The Metro Diner on Highway 72 is the lowest scoring restaurant on the list this week with an 82. The Kitchen Cops found dirty dishes, and six different foods at the wrong temperature. The inspectors say those issues were fixed, but the low score stands.
Terranova’s also had to make some corrections after getting an 83. The dishwasher was missing sanitizer, there was a dirty can opener in the kitchen and chicken was at the wrong temperature. The Clinton Avenue Grocery was written up because of rodent droppings being found next to the storage area.
The Meteor Buffet was in the news a few weeks ago for a crab leg brawl. Now, it’s back in the news for a low score (85) after roaches were found in the hibachi and storage areas. Inspectors also said there was no hot water when they arrived. That problem has since been fixed.
