Teen gets 2 years in jail for brother’s shooting death in Limestone County

LIMESTONE COUNTY, AL (WAFF) - This week, an 18-year-old in Limestone County was sentenced to two years in jail after pleading guilty to shooting and killing his brother in 2018.

Kobe Keshon Peoples was initially charged with the murder of 21-year-old Mikus Leron Peoples in February 2018. He pleaded guilty to the lesser charge of manslaughter this week.

Peoples received a 15-year split sentence. Two of those years will be in the Limestone County Jail, while the other 13 are suspended pending successful completion of three years of supervised probation.
