HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) - Temperatures will climb into the low 60s in some spots this afternoon despite seeing an increase in cloud cover throughout the day today.
While there could be a few isolated showers through the late afternoon, the best chance at rain across the Tennessee Valley won’t be here until we move on into the overnight hours tonight.
Thursday does look soggy with rain nearly all day long. Temperatures should stay into the low to mid 50s which means we should only see the rain throughout the day on Thursday.
Wind out of the south east will turn to the northwest late Thursday into Friday as the cold front comes through and that’ll drastically pick up the wind speed. Gusts on Friday could be as high as 30 mph.
We still have to watch Friday as that rain continues through the morning and into the early afternoon. If the temperatures do start to fall into the mid to low 30s there is a chance at some spots could see some snowflakes mixed in.
At this point I think we will mainly see rainfall. We will clear late Friday and that means he’ll stay dry throughout the rest of your holiday weekend!
