ATHENS, AL (WAFF) - An Athens woman is in jail after allegedly stabbing her boyfriend in the stomach during an apparent domestic incident.
Kali Ashtin Honey, 22, is charged with second-degree domestic violence assault. She is being held in the Limestone County Jail on $5000 bond.
Limestnoe County deputies responded to the Chris Way mobile home park on Blackburn Road after a caller told dispatchers there was a suspicious woman knocking on doors. A deputy was in the area when a man approached him and said his girlfriend had stabbed him in the stomach.
Medical responders took the victim to Huntsville Hospital by ambulance. His injuries are not life-threatening.
Honey was found walking on Blackburn Road a short time later and arrested. During the subsequent interview, she confessed to stabbing her boyfriend, according to the sheriff’s office.
