HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) - The second stray of Christmas is a lovable hound/bulldog mix. Jackson is somewhere between one and two years old.

He weighs about 50 pounds but is a bundle of love. Jackson loves to cuddle and a is a very loyal dog. He has a passion for treats, and seems to be trainable; he even sits on command if you have some food in your hand.

Jackson is a medium energy dog, so he’ll need some outdoor time. A quick walk or run or a little time playing fetch will go a long way towards keeping him happy.

Jackson would be a great pet for a family without a dog or cat. He doesn’t quite have the confidence to be a in multi-dog home. If you do adopt Jackson and have another dog you’ll be very patient and have some experience with dog training. Jackson does not like cats so he shouldn’t go home with a family who has one.

Huntsville Animal Services is located at 4950 Triana Boulevard. It’s open Monday through Friday and on Saturday from 9 AM to 3 PM.

All dogs from Huntsville Animal Services are vaccinated, spayed or neutered, and micro chipped.

Once you adopt Jackson or any other animal consider Whitesburg Animal Hospital for your veterinary needs. They’re partnering with WAFF and Huntsville Animal Services to bring you the 12 Strays of Christmas.
