MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) - Many in Alabama tuned into NBC’s “The Voice” Tuesday night to see what would happen to Montgomery’s Kirk Jay, after the results from last night’s performances.

They were not disappointed.

America decided, and Jay was the first to move on to the Final Four finale performances on Dec. 17.

Monday night he sang “I Swear” by John Michael Montgomery to Montgomery native Courtney Pruitt. She’s currently battling leukemia.
