LIMESTONE COUNTY, AL (WAFF) - Students at West Limestone High School will be without a lunchroom for at least two weeks.
A post on the high school’s Facebook page says that an electrical fire broke out in the lunchroom on Sunday. The fire did not get further than the cafeteria, but it did suffer significant smoke damage.
Due to the damage, the lunchroom will be closed until further notice.
While the lunchroom is closed, students will be eating in their classrooms and any student who arrives to school early will be sent to the gym until the start of school.
Breakfast and lunch times will remain the same, however meals will be prepared by Sugar Creek Elementary and transported to West Limestone.
