DECATUR, AL (WAFF) - WAFF-48 News received multiple reports of black ice causing several accidents on Interstate 65 Monday morning.
State troopers said that they worked multiple accidents caused by black ice on the I-65 river bridge in Decatur. Troopers advised drivers to avoid the bridge if at all possible.
There were also reporting black ice on the I-65/565 on-ramps. Black ice is most likely to occur anywhere where water freezes into ice on bridges and overpasses,
