Icy spots on roads and bridges caused travel problems in northwest Alabama because of freezing rain Tuesday morning.
Areas of ice were reported on some roads, especially in Franklin County.
WAFF 48 Storm Team Meteorologists said the threat for frozen precipitation ended at around noon.
Afternoon highs were expected to be in the middle to upper 40s with lows Tuesday holding steady in the low to middle 40s.
Widespread rain and isolated storms are possible on Christmas Eve as a cold front tracks into the area.
