Valorie Cox pleaded guilty to murder in Federal Court in Huntsville today. She entered her plea just after noon.
The announcement came seven months after NASA Engineer Darren Spurlock was killed in an accident involving Cox.
Officers chased suspect Valorie Cox for several miles onto federal property, at times reaching speeds of more than 90 miles an hour.
Spurlock was at the intersection of Martin Road and Rideout Road on Redstone Arsenal when he was hit and killed by Cox, who was trying to outrun police.
Cox ran a red light and slammed into Spurlock's vehicle -- killing him instantly.
Cox's sentencing is set for January 15th in Huntsville.
