Calhoun to host BEST robotics competition Saturday

More than one thousand middle and high school students from across north Alabama and southern Tennessee will be at Decatur's Calhoun Community College this weekend.

The event is called the 'Boosting Engineering Science and Technology' Robotics Competition, also known as BEST.

Auburn University and Calhoun are sponsoring the competition, which will take place Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. in Calhoun's Kelley Gymnasium.

Calhoun was selected last year as one of three sites around the state to host the competition.
