Ala. gas prices have dropped a dollar in a month

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (AP) - The average price for a gallon of regular gas in Alabama has dropped more than a dollar over the last month.

Today's average price is $2.81, about four cents less than yesterday.

The highest city average in the state is in Birmingham at $2.86, while Mobile, at $2.74, has the cheapest city average.

The national average price for a gallon of regular is $2.82.

According to the Web site www.gasbuddy.com, the most expensive gallon of regular gas in the state is $3.01 at a station in Roslie, while the cheapest gas was reported at a station in Dothan at $2.39.
