Free flu shots are offered to area residents

A free flu-shot clinic has been scheduled for this week in Madison County.

It's taking place Friday, October 24 from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. at the Madison County District Three East Commission Office, which is located on Highway 72 east in Brownsboro.

Shots will be given free of charge to any citizen six months of age and older.

Flu shots and lunch, provided courtesy of Commissioner Jerry Craig, are offered free to all citizens on a first-come, first-served basis.

Anyone with a Medicare Part B card is asked to present it to help state officials to be reimbursed for the cost of the vaccine.
