TOMMY BATTLE TAKES OFF THE SUIT JACKET BEFORE STRAPPING IN A PATROL CAR.
THE MAYOR-ELECT IS RIDING ALONG WITH OFFICER BILLY CLARDY JUNIOR...AN OFFICER OF THE YEAR FOR HUNTSVILLE'S NORTH PRECINCT.

EARLIER THIS MONTH, BATTLE ATTENDED A COMMUNITY MEETING REGARDING THE EDMONDTON HEIGHTS NEIGHBORHOOD IN NORTH HUNTSVILLE.
THE NEIGHBORHOOD HAS HAD A LOT OF CRIME, AND CITY LEADERS AND RESIDENTS AGREE IT'S TIME TO CLEAN-UP.

(48:52) "this is a good time to see it, and see it first hand, and our police have a good plan to take care of it, and we'll watch that plan go into action."

A PLAN, BATTLE SAYS, THAT TAKES LOTS OF TEAMWORK.

(46:15) "we're only as good as the people we work with and we all have to work together to make this community a success."

BATTLE DOMINATED THE POLLS IN NORTH HUNTSVILLE IN TUESDAY'S ELECTION.
AND WHILE HE'S GETTING AN UP-CLOSE LOOK IN THIS PART OF TOWN...
UNIFICATION REMAINS A PRIMARY GOAL.

((48:22)) "i'll be mayor for the whole city, and the whole city will share in huntsville's prosperity."
