Voters return to decide municipal runoff races

MONTGOMERY, Ala. (AP) - Voters return to the polls Tuesday to decide municipal runoff races in dozens of Alabama cities.

Among them is an election fight for the mayor's office in Huntsville where incumbent Loretta Spencer faces challenger and former city councilman Tommy Battle.

In Jefferson and Shelby counties, voters in 9 cities will choose new leaders to run city hall.

In Tuskegee, longtime Mayor Johnny Ford is being challenged by former Macon County Commissioner Omar Neal.

Mayoral races also highlight the ballots in Daphne and Satsuma.

Polls open at 7 a.m. and close at 7 p.m.
