Space Center cuts hours in November to save money

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (AP) - To save money because of low attendance, the U.S. Space & Rocket Center museum will close on Mondays and Tuesdays from Nov. 3-March 2.

Spokesman Al Whitaker said Space Camp and Aviation Challenge will not be affected.

Space Center CEO Larry Capps said, "This will enable us to cut our overhead with the least possible impact on our guests."

He said the museum will resume seven-day operations long before the tourist season begins.

No cost savings figures were available.
