Former President Clinton is headed to Alabama

DAPHNE, Ala. (AP) - Former President Bill Clinton is heading to the Mobile area on Thursday to raise money to help pay off Sen. Hillary Clinton's presidential campaign debt.

Bill Clinton is scheduled to attend a reception at 7:30 p.m. at the home of Pat and Robert Edington.

The minimum contribution is $1,000 a person.

Pat Edington said she expects 100 people to attend. She said of the Clintons, "They are old friends and they asked if we would help with the debt."

Hillary Clinton attended a luncheon fundraiser at the Edington home in May 2007 during her campaign.
