FPMI is currently seeking experienced candidates for the following positions in our Huntsville, AL corporate office:

Contracts Manager

The Contracts Manager will ensure that company policy is followed in the preparation and administration of its contracts while ensuring the company's policy falls within all government guidelines, regulations and laws that are applicable to those contracts. The Contracts Manager also ensures that Program Managers receive the data needed to properly manage their contracts.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Pricing and proposal preparation examining estimates of material, personnel and production costs, performance requirements, and delivery schedules to ensure completeness and accuracy.
  • Cost Modeling and Estimating, Pricing and Cost proposals
  • Invoice review and analysis
  • Resolve invoice issues/questions, final invoices
  • Examines, prepares bids, process specifications, test and progress reports, and other exhibits that may be required.
  • Reviews bids from other firms for conformity to contract requirements and determines acceptable bids.
  • Negotiates contract with customer or bidder.
  • Requests or approves amendments to or extensions of contracts.
  • Advises planning and production departments of contractual rights and obligations.
  • Provides Contract Planning, Budgeting, Controls and Reporting
  • Compiles data for preparing estimates.
  • Contract Work Authorizations and Contract Data Items
  • Perform Contract Closures
  • Maintains contract and contractor status databases.
  • Reviews all correspondence concerning contractors and responds as necessary.
  • Acts as liaison between company and subcontractors.
  • Other duties as needed or assigned

Job Requirements: 

Bachelor's degree in business administration or related field and a minimum of 8 years experience in contract administration, budgeting, and/or procurement or an advanced degree with a minimum of 4 years experience.  Must be proficient in maintaining records and reports on company software and have a thorough knowledge and understanding of all federal acquisition regulations applicable to multi-contract employers.  Experienced in negotiating contracts, subcontracts, and financial agreements.  Experience with Deltek/Costpoint preferred.

Contracts Administrator

The Contracts Administrator will ensure that company policy is followed in the preparation and administration of contracts while ensuring the company's policy falls within all government guidelines, regulations and laws that are applicable to those contracts. The Contracts Administrator also ensures that Program Managers receive the data needed to properly manage their contracts in a timely manner.

Responsibilities include the following:

  • Negotiates contract with customer or bidder
  • Requests or approves amendments to or extensions of contracts
  • Advises Program Management of contractual rights and obligations
  • Provides Contract Planning, Budgeting, Controls and Reporting
  • Compiles data for preparing estimates
  • Assists in pricing and cost proposal preparation examining estimates of material, personnel, performance requirements, and delivery schedules to ensure completeness and accuracy
  • Reviews bids from subcontractors for conformity to contract requirements and determines acceptable bids
  • Resolve invoice issues/questions, final invoices
  • Maintains contract and contractor status databases
  • Reviews all correspondence concerning contractors and responds as necessary
  • Assist in performing Contract Closures
  • Other duties as needed or assigned

Job Requirements: 

Bachelor's degree in business administration or related field and a minimum of 3 years experience in contract administration.  Must have thorough knowledge and understanding of all federal acquisition regulations (FAR). Experienced in negotiating contracts, subcontracts, teaming and non-disclosure agreements.  Deltek/Costpoint experience preferred.  Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite required.
