UNA to Kickoff Season Tonight

FLORENCE, Ala. (AP) - The first college football games of the season in Alabama will be played tonight in Florence and Birmingham.

North Alabama, which is No. 4 in the AFCA Division II poll, hosts Southern Arkansas.

Both schools are members of the Gulf South Conference, but the game will not count in the conference standings.

The Lions enter the 2008 season with a six game winning streak at home.

Kickoff is 7 p.m. at Braly Municipal Stadium.

In the other contest, Samford hosts intrastate rival West Alabama. Its a 7 p.m. kickoff.
