(CHICAGO) - The 2008 ArenaCup matchup is officially set as the American Conference Champion Tennessee Valley Vipers will face the National Conference Champion Spokane Shock.

The title game is scheduled for Monday, August 25 at 9 pm CT at Spokane Arena in Spokane, Washington.

Spokane earned the right to host the championship event based on the Shock having the better overall record of the two participating teams in 2008.

Tennessee Valley (13-6) earned their second trip to the ArenaCup in team history with a 45-35 triumph at home over Manchester (11- 8).

The Vipers were led by wide receiver Alonzo Nix who caught 10 passes for 197 yards with 3 touchdowns. His 197 yards receiving was the 2nd-highest single-game total in af2 postseason history.

Spokane (18-1) also earned their second-ever trip to the ArenaCup in their brief 3-year history with a 79-49 home victory over Amarillo (10-8).

The Shock were led by QB Nick Davila, who threw for seven touchdowns and scored one on the ground. Wide receiver Raul Vijil caught three of Davila's touchdown passes and fullback Kyle Young scored two on the ground in the win.
