April 14-15, 2008

UA Huntsville, Shelby Center Room 301, High school teachers and students are welcome to explore the world of structural biology and participate in a real life science experiment in space.

Prepare samples to the International Space Station!

Come and find out

1. What is structural Biology?

2. What do proteins, crystals and space have in common?

3. How will understanding protein structures and space improve
    our lives?

Special Guest and lecturers include former astronauts:

Dr. Owen K. Garriott (skylab 1973, Spacelab_1 1983)

Dr. Larry J. DeLucas (Payload Specialist STS-50 1996)

Other lecturers: Dr. Edward Meehan, Dr. Joseph D. Ng

Workshop will Include tour of the new Hudson Alpha Institute and LSB center, UAH.
