ANNISTON, Ala. (AP) - The owner of an Anniston body and paint shop has been charged with two counts of capital murder in the deaths of two people whose charred remains were found in a fire-damaged house last month.
Anniston Police said 49-year-old Robert Clarence Ervin of Weaver was arrested Friday. He's accused of killing 26-year-old William Junior Nunn and 47-year-old Annette Spinks, both of Anniston.
Police said both victims were shot to death and their bodies burned beyond recognition. Firefighters found their remains in a back room of the residence on Bancroft Avenue on March 8th.
Ervin is being held without bond and awaits a May 15th court date.
