Havoc Outshoot, But Can't Outscore Columbus, 6-3

(HUNTSVILLE) - Andrew Dwyer scored two goals and had two assists as the Columbus Cottonmouths beat the Huntsville Havoc, 6-3, Sunday afternoon at the Von Braun Center.

Mark Prentice added two goals, one an empty netter with :10 left in the game.

The Havoc actually outshot the Cottonmouths, 50-28, including a 19-4 edge in the 3rd period, but Columbus was able to outscore Huntsville in every period, 2-1.

Ian Vigier was tenacious in the net, stopping 47 shots.

Jordan Weibel and Joe Fields, who was signed last Thursday, both had a goal and an assist. James Patterson also scored for Huntsville.

Steve Briere stopped 22 of 27 shots in the loss.

Columbus scored four times on 13 powerplay attempts, while Huntsvile was 2-of-3.

The Havoc (20-25) are now two points in back of 6th place Twin City with five games left in the season.

Huntsville will host the Jacksonville Barracudas next Friday night before they face Columbus and Knoxville twice more to end the regular season.
