CHICAGO (AP) - Barack Obama is blaming his primary defeats in Ohio and Texas on Hillary Rodham Clinton's criticism and news coverage favored her.
The Democratic presidential candidate says his plan now is to raise doubts about Clinton's experience, specifically on foreign policy.
Obama asked mockingly "what exactly is this foreign policy experience" that she talked about in a TV ad that portrayed her as the most prepared to handle an international crisis? He asked, "Was she negotiating treaties? Was she handling crises? The answer is no."
He says Clinton's attacks affected the election results, particularly because many people in the press corps were persuaded that they had been too hard on her and too soft on him. He says "complaining about the refs apparently worked" this week.
