(HANCEVILLE) - Bob Jones has turned the tables on Sparkman, the defending 6A State Ladies champs, using a 2nd half 14-2 run to defeat Madison County rival Sparkman, 46-38, for the NW 6A Girls title game in Hanceville.
Bob Jones now heads to Birmingham where they will play Robertsdale at noon, Thursday.
Adrienne Webb scored 21 points for the Senators (29-5) and sank a pair of free throws that put Sparkman on top 24-19 with 3:48 left in the 3rd quarter, but Jala Harris made good with a jumper with :03 left to tie the game up, 26-26 at the end.
The Patriots took the lead for good on Sametria Gideon's jumper 23 seconds into the start of the 4th quarter, and steadily increased its lead the rest of the game.
Harris had 15 points and 9 rebounds and Kellie Cook added 13 points for Bob Jones (33-2), which held Sparkman to just over 30% shooting.
Harris, who was out with a knee injury for most of the 2006-07 season, was named MVP of the 6A Northwest regional.
