Interstate Rivalry a Part of HHS's MLK Tournament

(HUNTSVILLE) - An interstate rivalry begins today at Huntsville High School as four teams from Huntsville and four from the Birmingham area meet in a tournament to commemmorate Martin Luther King Jr. Day.

One of the teams invited to Huntsville is 6th-ranked 6A Homewood, who will play Lee at 11 am.

In other games, Spain Park will play Huntsville at 12:30, Briarwood Christian plays 7th-ranked Madison Academy at 2 pm, and Hewitt-Trussville plays 3rd-ranked Butler at 3:30.

One of the largest of the holiday tournaments is in Birmingham where Gadsden and 9th-ranked John Carroll meet at Carver High School.
