Beckles Takes 4-2 Loss in Havoc Debut

(HUNTSVILLE) - David Beckles allowed a pair of 3rd period goals in his debut with Huntsville as the Havoc lost to Twin City, 4-2, Friday night at the Von Braun Center.

While Huntsville outshot the Cyclones in the 1st period, 20-8, the Havoc left the ice at the first intermission tied, 1-1.

The Havoc got on board on a Justin Keller goal at 12:48, but Twin City tied the contest when Jason Cassells scored with just under two minutes left in the period.

Tim Hockley put the Havoc back on top, 2-1, 32 seconds after a holding penalty on Josh Piro gave them a man advantage. But Twin City tied it again with a power play goal by Allan Sirois at 7:50, and the two teams were deadlocked again, 2-2, in the second intermission.

Paul Falco and team points leader Daryl Moore put the Cyclones on top 4-2 as Twin City's defense held the Havoc to just six shots-on-goal. Falco scored the go-ahead goal unassisted at 2:16 of the final period.

David Beckles, who played collegiate hockey at Southern Maine with teammates Jonathan Lounsbury and Bobby Siers, stopped 29 of 33 shots for Huntsville.

Kevin Druce got the win for Twin City by stopping 41. Huntsville outshot Twin City, 44-33.

The same two teams meet again Saturday night at the Von Braun Center, where a sell-out crowd is expected.
