(HUNTSVILLE) - Kellie Cook got through a stingy defense to score 16 points to lead the #2-ranked Bob Jones Patriots to a 44-34 victory over Bradley to win the Huntsville Times Ladies Classic, Saturday.
It was the 6th championship appearance for Bob Jones in the 7-year history of the Classic.
Cook was the only player in double figures in the game. Kally Eldridge scored 9 pts. to lead the Bearettes.
Bradley led 11-9 after the 1st quarter. Bob Jones took the lead when Cook scored to make it 12-11 with 6:28 remaining in the half. The Lady Patriots never trailed again.
They opened up their biggest lead, 42-28, when Jericka Kinlaw sank two free throws with :53.4 remaining in the game.
Bob Jones is now 16-2, losing their only game to top-ranked Sparkman earlier in the season. Bradley falls to 13-4.
