(HUNTSVILLE) - The grinch stole fans' hockey outing, Friday night, when a power failure put an end to the scheduled match between the Huntsville Havoc and the Columbus Cottonmouths at the Von Braun Center.
A blown high-voltage transformer also shut down a scheduled Christmas play.
The outage occured at about 4 pm.
Power should be restored today, according to VBC Executive Director Steve Maples.
Lighting in portions of the parking garage also lost power. Friday night's hockey game has not, as yet, been rescheduled.
The Havoc's next home game is Thursday, December 27 against Knoxville.
