Arthur Orr donates money to local charities

One state lawmaker from the Valley is keeping a promise to his constituents.

Arthur Orr, the Republican Senator from Hartselle, has donated his pay raise to charity.

Orr opposed to the pay raise legislators voted themselves back in March.

His office says he's received about 10-thousand dollars in additional salary from the state. 

He's donated 7-thousand 550 dollars so far to charities in his district.

Groups receiving funding from Orr's pay raise proceeds include:
