Who does my donation help?
Athens Limestone Food & Shelter
Athens Limestone Food & Shelter was incorporated in May 1983. Through the efforts of many past directors and volunteers, thousands of lives have been touched. Tons of food have been distributed to needy families. Hundreds of households continued their electrical service and hundreds more were helped to remain in their homes.
When is the WAFF 48 Heart of the Valley Can-a-thon?
The WAFF 48 Heart of the Valley Can-a-thon is Thursday, December 5. There are twelve counties in North Alabama participating in the event including Limestone County.
How can I make a donation?
Everyone is encouraged to bring a donation by Lowe's on Hwy. 72 in Athens or Wal-Mart on Hwy. 72 on December 5. Many donations are made by schools, offices and churches that have held their own can drives in the weeks and months leading up to the WAFF 48 Heart of the Valley Can-a-thon. On December 5, they deliver their entire can collection to the Lowe's parking lot to donate it to the Can-a-thon.
