Recalled lettuce possibly contaminated with harmful bacteria

Dole Products company officials say some of their lettuce could make you sick.

The company is recalling some of their pre-packaged salads after a sample tested positive for E-Coli.

The packages of "Hearts Delight Salad Mix" were processed at a plant in Springfield, Ohio back on September 6.

The bags of lettuce were sold in Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Maine, Mississippi, New york, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Tennessee.

Dole says consumers should dispose of the product.

The Hearts Delight Bags have a "best if used by" date of September 19, 2007 on them along with a production code of either "a-2-4-9-2-4-a" or "a-2-4-9-2-4-b".

The salad mix contains romaine, butter lettuce, and green leaf lettuce.
