Woman leads police on chase overnight

Decatur Police arrested a woman after an overnight chase. It started just before 1:00 a.m. at the Paylesss Pharmacy on Danville Road.

A witness noticed someone trying to break into the business and then call police with a description of the car that left the scene.

Decatur police saw that car and tried to pull it over, but the driver refused to stop.

Police gave chase, and say at times speeds were up to 100 miles per hour.

The chase ended when the driver turned onto Deer Springs Road, which is a dead end.

Police arrested the driver and charged her with reckless endangerment, and having an outstanding warrant.

Police say they could file other charges after they finish their investigation.
