WASHINGTON, D.C. - U.S. Senator Bob Corker (R-TN) made the following statement today recognizing September 11th:
"The terrorists destroyed many innocent lives on September 11, 2001, but they could not destroy the American spirit. Along with the tremendous tragedy our country experienced that day, we also saw courage, compassion and the strength of a nation united," said Corker.
"As we reflect upon the events that occurred six years ago, we honor the memories of those we've lost and give thanks for the firefighters, policemen, and emergency personnel who respond daily to human crises and for the members of our military defending our country throughout the world."
