Local Health Fair detects medical issues

The Greater Huntsville Chapter of 100 Black Men of America held its annual Health Fair Saturday on the Alabama A&M campus.

People came out to get free health screenings, eat some free food, and listen to speakers.

Medical professionals were checking for everything from high blood pressure to diabetes to      H-I-V.

One of the event's organizers, John Stallworth said it's a great way to give back to the community.

Stallworth indicated that, "a number of things that folks in our community may not have access to health providers to come out free of charge to get those things checked. It's an effort on our part to try to upgrade the overall health of our community."

This year marks the 8th year for the Health Fair.
