Person arrested in shooting death faces capital murder charges

The Madison County Sheriff's Department has arrested one person in connection with a deadly shooting.

Emergency workers responding to a car crash on Wednesday found the body of 43-year-old "Mickey" Jones of New Market.

He had been shot to death in his pickup truck on Buddy Williamson Road in Madison County.

Investigators say their suspect is Kim Curtiss Danner.

Danner is currently in federal custody on unrelated firearm charges.

Residents in New Market could not believe something like this could ever happen in their area.

One person we spoke to said, "It' s crazy that something like that was happening in such a rual area where there such peace and cows and crickets, sunset, and things like that but then again things like that has been happening since the beginning of time."

Madison County Authorities say they expect to serve a capital murder charge this upcoming Tuesday.
