Huntsville-With a little help from our friends Sci-Quest has spent the last 10 years introducing science to area children.
It is just that kind of help from a friend that brought State Representative Howard Sanderford (R-Madison) and Sci-Quest together.
Representative Sanderford presented Sci-Quest with a check for $2,100.00.
The money will be used to provide scholarships for students in District 20 that could not otherwise visit Sci-Quest.
Sci-Quest depends on partnerships like this with state, local and federal government to keep providing high quality science education in an unconventional environment.
The goal of Sci-Quest is to get children as young as 3 years old interested in Science and continue to build on that interest throughout their youth.
"Representative Sanderford has always been a friend to the children in his district and throughout the state, now we can call him a true friend to Sci-Quest and its visitors," said Tommy Beason, Interim Executive Director.
