Things appear to have calmed down at Sparkman High school in Madison County.
Fights broke out there Monday, and some students and parents blame school leaders for a lack of control.
Six students were arrested and two were suspended after a bomb threat resulted in fights.
"As a parent, I was concerned, and I will be there first one to admit, that I came and checked my child out of school".
There were conflicting reports about whether it was a bomb threat or a fire drill.
"I think that's making a mountain out of a mole hill. Whether it was a bomb threat or a fire alarm they were exited out of the building which is what they needed to do for our kids safety".
Kerri Dyer's daughter goes to Sparkman, and she says the recent events don't change her mind about the school.
"It's unfortunate that such a small percentage of students have given Sparkman such a black eye. I wouldn't send my children to a school were they didn t feel safe".
Security is out at Sparkman in full force making sure something like this will never happen again".
One student said, "They're not over powering. They're just there just in showing that they are going to protect us if we need somebody there".
