Men indicted in prostitution ring investigation

Three Marshall County men were indicted Tuesday on charges that they ran a prostitution ring with women they brought in from other countries.

U.S. Attorney Alice H. Martin said in a statement that the three were Mexican citizens.

They are 31-year-old Miguel Leon Mora, 25-year-old Jose Fernandez-Gonzales, and 41-year-old Jose Elias Miranda-Gullien.

Martin said the indictment in federal court charged the men with conspiracy, alien transportation for illegal sexual activity, enticing an alien to engage in prostitution and failure to file an alien statement.

Each man faces up to 20 years in prison, fines up to $250,000 or both.
