Latin-American Festival in Huntsville, AL
WHERE: Big Spring International Park, downtown Huntsville, AL
WHEN: Saturday, October 6, 2007
TIME: 12 p.m. to 7 p.m.
ADMISSION: Free and open to the public.
ACTIVITIES: Latin culture will be celebrated with live Latin music, dancing, folkloric dancers, food and kid's activities.
MUSIC: Live Latin music covering the gamut from Salsa to Latin Jazz to Mariachi to Caribbean sounds. There will be a wooden platform for Latin music lovers to dance up a storm.
FOLKLORIC SHOW: Dance troupes representing Latin American countries will be performing throughout the afternoon. A folkloric fashion show representing various Latin-American countries will also be a prominent feature during the event.
KIDS' PAVILION: Children will enjoy piñata breaking contests and inflatable moon bounce and slide. A magician will be performing amazing tricks to keep kids' thoroughly entertained. All sorts of games and a puppet show will keep children happy and busy all afternoon.
FOOD: Local food vendors will be serving delicious Latin and American food as well as a variety of beverages and thirst-quenching lemonade.
Come join us for an afternoon of fun for the entire family. Bring your lawn chairs or blankets and a good appetite. Sorry, no coolers or pets allowed.
