Three charged after deputies seize bootlegged CDs

Sheriff's deputies seized hundreds of compact discs and arrested three vendors over the weekend at a flea market in rural Etowah County.

The pirated music was confiscated Sunday at Mountain Top Flea Market.

Etowah County Sheriff's Captain Michael Jones said charges were filed against 35-year-old Eluvia Domingo; 45-year-old Elfega Cruz; and 47-year-old Mahmud Abdul Malik of Villa Rica, Georgia. All were charged with violating trademarks laws.

Jones said representative with the Recording Industry Association of America accompanied deputies on the raid to help identify which CDs were illegal recordings. About 700 discs were seized.
