Injured valley solider home from Iraq

A hero's homecoming tonight.

A Valley soldier seriously wounded by sniper fire in Iraq is finally reunited with his family.

Sergeant Hubble Hainline was welcomed home to a crowd of cheers, hugs, salutes, flowers, flags and most importantly prayers.

Hainline, a member of the Alabama National Guard 128th Military Police Company, was seriously wounded by sniper fire in Iraq June 5th.

He was taken to a hospital in Germany where he underwent surgery to relieve swelling in his brain. Hainline says its been difficult getting over his injury and still has a long recovery time left.

"Got a lot of rehab still and more surgeries," says Hainline.

His wife Shannon, by his side, since he was shot. The couple's 2 small children left behind with grandparents. The Hainline's glad to finally be home.

"Its been a year since he's been home. Nice to be together again," says Shannon Hainline.

Hainline is a Purple Heart recipient.
