Verizon Wireless, the nation's leading wireless provider in the United States, welcomes its first group of call center employees as they begin a comprehensive training program at the company's temporary recruiting and training facility located in Huntsville.
The intensive training program will prepare employees to serve customers at the upcoming Verizon Wireless facility under construction in Huntsville. These classes will last 4-6 weeks depending on the position.
More than 150 employees will begin their training this week.
Jeremiah Knight, director Customer Service at the new 152,000 square foot call center and state headquarters, said he was looking forward to working with the new employees.
"I am thrilled to begin building our new team," said Knight. "We will work together to fulfill Verizon Wireless' commitment to continue to provide customers with the best customer experience in the industry."
Knight and his team will handle all aspects of customer service operations, including technical support, customer retention and quality service delivery. Verizon Wireless is consistently ranked as one of the best places to work in the country because of its employee-friendly policies.
